Dakota Ray Hebert

Dakota Ray Hebert is an actor/writer/comedian/host on the rise. She stars in the feature film RUN WOMAN RUN, from director Zoe Hopkins, which won her the Best Actress Award at this years's AIFF. Dakota is also the co-host of CRAZY LIKE A LYNX, the fun and informative APTN series that introduces viewers to successful Indigenous businesses across Canada. An accomplished theatre actor, Dakota starred in THIS WAS THE WORLD, opposite RH Thomson at Tarragon Theatre last winter; and is known for her longstanding performance in the title role of SALT BABY.

A prodigious writer in demand, Dakota has written two TYA plays, NATIVE STUDIES 101 and DREAMER & THE TURTLE, and is writing, developing and consulting on countless current projects.

A rising star in the international stand-up community, Dakota performed this fall for an upcoming episode of CBC's COMEDY NIGHT WITH RICK MERCER and will be seen this spring at the national CRACK UP COMEDY FESTIVAL in Ottawa. She is also recording her first comedy album on April 12th, of this year.
