Aba Amuquandoh

Aba Amuquandoh is an writer/performer as well as a stand-up comedian. She most recently became the youngest ever featured player to join the Canadian Comedy Award winning cast of This Hour Has 22 Minutes for the CBC.

She began her professional acting career as a student at the University of Toronto where she went on to co-write and produce the award winning play I Can't Trust Anyone, Everyone Hurts Me which received the Staging Survivance Award presented by Jill Carter.

After university, Aba became a member of b current's Emerging Artists Training Ensemble where she workshopped her play Ghanada with author Catherine Hernandez. She then went on to become a featured comedian for Las Culturistas I Don't Think So Honey, hosted by Matt Rogers and Dave Mizzoni, starred in Shopify's new Sketch Series, Mind Your Business, and hosted Second City's FamCo show, In The Game.

In addition to her work in television and stage, Aba has been published in the quarterly magazine The Maritime Edit and also cohosts the podcast Nostalgique, ranked second by the Toronto Star as one of the funniest podcasts in Canada.
