Jackie Kashian
Jackie Kashian is from South Milwaukee, Wisconsin which she loves like The Shire. Her stand-up has been described as "like listening to a really racy episode of All Things Considered". She draws on personal experiences, but with a sardonic delivery matched with a geeky interior and surprisingly chill exterior. Her comedy has been cited as top ten on Amazon, top five on Vulture and critically acclaimed on IO9.
Kashian is comic, writer, podcaster and occasional actor... she's done stand-up on The Conan O'Brien Show, a plethora of shows for Comedy Central, and was a semifinalist on Last Comic Standing. Most recently she had roles on IFC's Maron and Netflix's Lady Dynamite.
Since 2006, Kashian has been hosting The Dork Forest Podcast. She invites a wide variety of guests, from stand-up comics, authors, actors and perfectly nice regular people to "dork out" on the thing they love most. Her new podcast on The Nerdist Network is with Laurie Kilmartin, called The Jackie and Laurie Show and is entirely about stand-up comedy. Her new album comes out March of 2017 and is called I AM NOT THE HERO OF THIS STORY.
