Isabel Zaw-Tun

Isabel, Zaw-Tun

Isabel is a Toronto-based comic originally from northern Alberta; she has been performing stand-up comedy for seven years all over Ontario, Quebec, and parts of the United States. Her material is a joyful and loving take on single/teen parenthood, being mixed race, being neurodivergent, dressing like a fashion clown, and being slightly too obsessed with komodo dragons (see: neurodivergent). She has performed at Just For Laughs, producing her own show WOC: Women Of Comedy as well as opening for Sydnee Washington. She has also performed at Zoofest, the Port Hope Comedy Festival, and a grade 8 graduation barbeque party. Her jokes have been featured on Funny Or Die, Buzzfeed, Huffpost, and the Chicago Tribune. She has also written for the television shows Gary & His Demons and Tallboys. Before Elon Musk ran the platform into the ground, she amassed a Twitter following of over 20k followers who included Meg Stalter, Chris Flemming, Myk Kaplan, and Joss Whedon (who once liked all her selfies at 1AM). Funny people agree: she’s pretty funny!
