Mayran Kalah
Mayran Kalah is a Somali Canadian community advocate, interpreter, social activist, and stand up comedian. Currently residing in Winnipeg, Mayran has lived and worked all across Western Canada where she has lived with her 10,000 children. She has had a very colourful journey becoming Canadian, and enjoys regular opportunities to share her ideas and experiences on CBC radio nationally and locally.
Mayran has become a respected voice for women in the Somali Canadian Community and is an outspoken advocate for the plight of refugees in Canada and around the world.
