Trent, McClellan

Originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Trent McClellan is a stand-up comedian, writer, podcaster and actor known for his approachable, candid and effortless observational comedy. Trent may be best known for his role on CBC’s This Hour has 22 Minutes. He joined the cast in 2017 after contributing as a writer for several years. 

He has had numerous filmed television performances from the Just for Laughs Montreal, Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy festivals for CBC Television, and has recorded comedy specials for CTV and the Comedy Network. Trent is regularly seen at comedy festivals across the country, like St. John’s Exit Realty on the Rock Comedy Fest, Moncton HubCap Comedy Fest, Edmonton Comedy Fest, and YYC Calgary Comedy Festival.

Trent is a favourite on the Canadian airwaves, heard on popular CBC radio program The Debaters, and was a panelist on CBC’s Canada Reads where he defended February by Lisa Moore. Trent developed and produces his own regular podcast series called The Generators, which is available on TuneIn Radio and iTunes.
