Martha Chaves
Martha is an award-winning stand-up comedian, actor, and comedy writer. Daryl Jung from NOW Magazine called her “Smart, sassy, provocative, and very funny.”
Her infectious, candid style and natural ability to relate to a wide range of audiences make her a popular headliner at clubs, festivals, fundraisers, corporate functions, and keynote speaking engagements. Her TV credits include appearances in Just for Laughs, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and the We Are Funny That Way fest, to name a few. She’s often heard on CBC radio’s Laugh Out Loud, The Debaters and a regular in Because News. Her debut album Chunky Salsa was named among the 11 best albums of 2019 by Interrobang magazine. She’s the voice of “VERO” in the PBS animated series “Rosie’s Rules.”
