Ms. Martin has created several famous characters on the comedy television series SCTV, earning her 2 Emmy awards for writing, as well as nomination for best actress. She has received many Tony, Drama Desk and Theatre World awards for her various performances on Broadway. This summer, Ms. Martin will debut her new show, Andrea Martin: Final Days! Everything Must Go!! Among her many television credits are My Big Fat Greek Life, Little Mosque on the Prairie and Showtime’s Nurse Jackie. Film credits include How to Eat Fried Worms, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Breaking Upwards. Ms. Martin received a SAG award nomination for her performance of Aunt Voula in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. She also originated the role of the Day By Day Clown in Toronto at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, in 1971, in what is now considered the legendary production of Godspell. The cast included Gilda Radner, Martin Short, Dave Thomas, Eugene Levy, Jayne Eastwood, Victor Garber as Jesus, under the musical direction of Paul Shaffer.
