Jeff Rothpan is one of the busiest comedy writers in Los Angeles as well as one hilarious and successful comedian. And if he wasn’t writing this bio in the third person, you’d probably think he was really full of himself. As a comedian, he made multiple appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as a host of other shows. He garnered rave reviews for his Canadian stand-up special for Comedy Now entitled Whiter than Hell as well as starring in CBC's Just for Laughs in Montreal and Comics. It was while performing that Jeff met several comedians that wanted to hire him to write jokes for them which lead to several writing jobs on TV shows in the U.S. and Canada.

Jeff has written for Steve Martin, John Cleese, among other comedy legends, and continues to write for one of the most successful touring comedians to date, Jeff Dunham. He was writer and supervising producer on Jeff Dunham TV series as well Comedy Central’s highest rated show to date Jeff Dunham’s Very Special Christmas Special. Speaking of Christmas, he wrote on the Russell Peters Christmas special which garnered huge ratings in Canada.

Jeff also wrote and performed for two seasons on the TBS sketch series Frank TV starring Frank Caliendo. Jeff’s jokes have made it into Jay Leno’s monologue on The Tonight Show, The People’s Choice Awards, The Grammy Awards and The Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner. While working for the Grammy’s Jeff met Canadian comedian and director David Steinberg who was working on a new project for Canada’s Global TV called Big Sound where Jeff was brought on as story editor. Jeff later wrote for another Canadian series called The Tournament which was also broadcast in the U.S. on Versus. Other writing credits include Spike TV’s first original animated series This Just In and Canada’s The Ron James Show.
