Our first show for 2023 festival

The Winnipeg Comedy Festival may be a way off - returning for its 22nd year in May 2-7, 2023 - but the exciting programming has already begun. MIDDLE RAGED, which has toured nationally to great acclaim, is a hilarious live sketch show starring Geri Hall and Gary Pearson that explores the time of life when you're running out of time. The sketch show will be presented as our Red Carpet Comedy programming for 2023, on May 2nd at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm for an exclusive red carpet guest experience.

“We’re always looking for a way to elevate the Red Carpet show and bring different forms of comedy to the fest. Geri and Gary are two of Canada’s funniest people, and the show is a great pairing for an evening of big laughs and a bit of pre-show fun for the audience,” says Dean Jenkinson, Artistic Director of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. Our Red Carpet Comedy show creates a VIP guest experience, complete with an actual red carpet and paparazzi photographers, as well as some bonus surprises. MIDDLE RAGED tickets are on sale: BUY NOW!

Gary Pearson is best known as a writer for such shows as MADtv, 22 Minutes, Corner Gas, JFL All Access, and Sunnyside, which he co-created. Gary has won the Writer’s Guild Award, and the Canadian Screen Award, as well as being nominated for multiple Canadian Screen and Gemini Awards. Both Geri and Gary were on The Second City Toronto mainstage and have extensive backgrounds in comedy. The duo recently appeared at Toronto Fringe, had a sold out run of 4 performances at the Oakville Centre, and made a big splash at the Edmonton Fringe, selling out the Westbury Theatre for several standing ovation performances, and had another standing ovation at the Westdale in Hamilton.
