Saturday Late Night Gala Host

MULTI-AWARD WINNING INDIGENOUS ACTOR, MICHAEL GREYEYES, JOINS WINNIPEG COMEDY FESTIVAL LINEUP

Announced today, multi-award winning Indigenous actor, dancer, choreographer and educator, Michael Greyeyes is on his way to Winnipeg to take part in the 20th Anniversary of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.     
On Friday, October 8, Greyeyes hosts the Winnipeg Comedy Festival TRUTH TO POWER Gala at the Burton Cummings Theatre.

Born in Muskeg Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan, Greyeyes has portrayed iconic film and television roles including Geronimo, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull in Woman Walks Ahead to critical acclaim.  His television credits include  Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Walker, Texas Ranger, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Fear the Walking Dead and in 2021, he starred in a main role in the sitcom Rutherford Falls. He also appeared as Junior Polatkin in the cult-classic film, Smoke Signals. This year, Greyeyes also won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Actor at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards for his performance in the film Blood Quantum.
