Big Daddy Tazz-athon!
Venue: Gas Station Theatre
April 01, 2008 - 8:30am

Foolish? Maybe he is, but on April 1st, 2008, Winnipeg’s own Big Daddy Tazz will take to the stage at the Gas Station Theatre and attempt to break the endurance record for a continuous stand-up comedy performance.

The 2008 CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival box office will be open all day, and enter an hourly draw to win tickets. Bring a TIN FOR THE BIN and earn an extra entry ballot!

Doors open at 7:30am, with the Tazz-athon starting at 8:30am. In preparation, Tazz is currently undergoing an intense training program of zingers, quips, puns, and a strict diet of witty comebacks and one-liners. He plans to keep his game clean of performance enhancing tricks such as knock-knock jokes and riddles.

BIG DADDY TAZZ

Often described as "one of the most talented comics in the business," Tazz has been delighting crowds at fundraisers, corporate events, festivals and on television for more than a decade and a half. Known as the "Bi-Polar Buddha", Tazz is equal parts comedian and motivational speaker who likes to enlighten, educate and inspire. As a result, his one-man shows have drawn rave reviews and standing ovations from coast-to-coast.

Tazz’ many festival and TV appearances have included the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Comedy Now and the CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival, for which he annually multi-tasks as a writer, producer and performer. Tazz’ explosive Gala performances at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival over the years can be seen frequently on CBC television and the Comedy Network. Tazz is currently co-starring in the APTN comedy Mixed Blessings.
