Stevie Ray Fromstein

Stevie Ray, Fromstein

God’s gift to Atheism, Stevie Ray Fromstein began his standup career at Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club, in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. His big break came when he appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, hosted that year by David Steinberg. Spotted by the producers of Late Night with David Letterman, Fromstein soon became a Letterman regular.

He moved to Los Angeles, where the famous Improv Comedy Club in Hollywood, became his new home base. Stevie also made several appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Stevie got his next big break when he landed a “punch-up” gig on the hit ABC sitcom, Roseanne, which launched his sitcom- writing career. He worked on such shows as Grace Under Fire, Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place, and Reba, starring Reba McEntire.” Stevie next co-created Single White Spenny, starring Spencer Rice of Kenny vs. Spenny, and is currently co-creating another sitcom for Canada: Delmer and Marta, featuring stars from the sketch show: Caution: May Contain Nuts.

Stevie recently returned to standup comedy, with a whole new focus: Religion. He performs to great response, all over America and Canada, and has over 8,000 followers on twitter (twitter@TheHolyAtheist.com). Stevie also hosts The Holy Atheist podcast, and frequently opens for Norm Macdonald.
