“I think I can make you laugh at stuff you had no idea you thought was funny.” Darryl Lenox continues to bring his unique insights and comedic observations to audiences both north and south of the 49th Parallel as he kicks off The 20/20 Tour this spring.
Starz Networks picked up his most recent comedy special in the US, making Darryl Lenox: Blind Ambition the first hour-long stand-up special ever to appear on the network. Soon after he was invited to appear on Conan and was interviewed by Marc Maron on an episode of the hugely popular WTF podcast. Stagetime Magazine named his CD Blind Ambition “One of the Top 5 Comedy Albums of 2012,” joining Louis CK, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, and the late Patrice O’Neal.
With the launch of The 20/20 Tour, several comedy-related projects in the works, and more ambition than ever, the vision-impaired comedian shows no signs of slowing down. “I don’t think I’m anywhere near my capabilities. There is so much I want to do. I’ve been at this for a long time, but in many ways, I feel like I’m just getting started.”
